Lago Verde wilderness resort is located in
the Patagonia Argentina, deeply rooted in the mountains
and surrounded by a dense forest where one of the oldest living things on earth still breath: the alerce or lahuan.
The resort is built along the shore of the
lake, home of trout and salmon, a perfect setting to enjoy magnificent views, get
delighted with the sounds of silence and allured by the
clear call of water.

Los Alerces National Park encloses
an area of 263.000 hectares located
in Chubut, a province in the
Andean region.
It was created in 1937 with the aim of protecting the last
redoubt where one of the oldest trees on Earth, the alerce
or lahuan can still be found.
The Park holds many lakes, big rivers, crystal water
brooks and millennial forests of maitenes, coihues cipreses,
arrayanes and notros. Different species of birds, mammals,
trees and plants are part of this unique environment in one
of the few virginal forests left in the world.
Cormorants, owls, chucaos, kaikenes, avutardas,
foxes, pudúes, coipos, huemules and many animal species
find here their shelter and nourishment.
Lago Verde is the heart of this young but
eternal forest.
The Lago Verde lodge was planned to
attract nature lovers from all over the world. It is the place to plentifully enjoy patagonian
beauty and hospitality.
Lago
Verde wilderness resort was created by Alfredo Zubiri, a lover of Patagonian wild lands and
fly fishing. It was planned in order to share this unique and protected place with other
nature lovers.
The lodge is owned by El Aura, an Argentine company, and
developed under a concession given by the Argentina National Park
Agency.
El Aura people are argentine entrepreneurs, with solid
national and international experience, who are
convinced that the country's exceptional conditions for out door activities and tourism should be enjoed by people from all over the world.
Lago Verde, one of the country's most beautiful places,
is located in Los Alerces National Park, probably the best
protected park in Argentina. It therefore has a pure and untouched
landscape.
The project and construction, leaded by Architect Fabio Sataffolani, were
thought under a concept of sustainable development and are beign conducted under severe environmental care policies.

system.
In accordance with Argentina National Parks' architectural tradition,
and within clear and defined environmental
protection policies, the bungalows and
restaurants allow the visitors to
fully become part of the surrounding nature of Lago Verde.

The pristine, clear waters surrounding Lago Verde Wilderness Resort are the angler’s and nature lover’s paradise. The resort is at the center of the fishing area of Los Alerces National Park. Rivers and streams in the Esquel area can be reached in a two-hour drive. You will find here what is most difficult to get anywhere in the world: solitude, silence, peace.In a place strictly protected, you will spend your fishing days counting on birds and trees as silent companions. Most of the rivers and lakes are for catch and release, fly fishing only; waters hold rainbow trouts, brown trouts, brooks and landlocked salmon.
