Los Alerces National Park encloses an area of 263.000 hectares located in Chubut, a province in the Andean region.

The bungalows and restaurants allow the guest to fully become part of the surrounding nature offering magnificent views of the forest.

The bungalows are a quiet and peaceful retreat. All of them have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room with a stone fireplace and a private deck. New double bungalows have living room with salamander, bedroom in suite and are fully equipped for a two passenger occupation.

Meals can be served in the gourmet restaurant or delivered to the bungalows where a private dinner at a candlelit table can be arranged.

The guest will enjoy natural food, with aromas and flavors of "Los Alerces" district.

Or just enjoy a real Argentine barbecue in the suite's private outdoor grill. Summer nights are perfect for outdoor dining in the deck.

Lunch can be served in the bungalows or prepared for picnics in the forest while fly fishing or trekking.

Activities

In this unique and wild land of the Patagonia Argentina there are no limits for your imagination. The pristine, clear waters surrounding Lago Verde Wilderness Resort are the anglers' and nature lovers' paradise. The resort is in the center of Los Alerces National Park's fishing area. In a strictly protected place, you will spend your fishing days counting on birds and trees as silent companions. Most of the rivers and lakes are for catch and release, fly fishing only; waters hold rainbows, browns, brooks and landlocked salmon. Experienced bilingual guides will provide their knowledge and ensure fruitful tours. Our riding programs will take you riding through a changing landscape, mountain creeks, frozen lagoons and rocky sections, the views will remain superb. You will find here what is most difficult to get anywhere in the world: solitude, silence, peace.

Trekking is also one of the favorite activities. Our guides will accompany you trough the endless trails of the National Park, through glaciers, forests of ancient trees, or even mountain trekking. Camping, swimming, picnicking, equestrian guided adventures, bird watching and gatherings around a fire with friendly people at night are amongst the favorite activities.

Evening is a special time. As the sun falls behind the mountains, the light becomes blue and fades slowly into darkness. This is the time to either, walk along the shore, sit in the deck and listen to the last birds sing or just share the day’s experience with your companions.

Moon nights can be just spectacular. The air is so pure and clean that you can go for awalk with no other than the moonlight. And while the world as we know it goes to sleep a new one awakes, with its own shapes, colors and sounds. Walking under the bright moon is something you cannot miss.

Outside the National Park there are some interesting options to be considered such as visiting the Leleque museum, walking the streets of El Bolsón city, home of famous handcrafts, or going to the small town of Trevelin where a welsh tea house, built by the first european immigrants that came to the mountains, can be visited.
