The Rivers


The Rio Grande or Futaleufú: this is tail water with wonderful fishing throughout the season. Only 30 minutes from Esquel, is fished from raft, motor boat and wading. Excellent hatches, and great moments of grass hopper madness. Some of the biggest brown trout of the area where caught here, but also strong rainbows.


Rio Nant y Fall, is the outlet of lake Rosario and floods into the Rio Grande, meandering through a beautiful valley where you will be able to fish for big trout on the most magnificent scenery and bird land. 45 minutes from Esquel.


Arroyo Pescado, this is our world famous spring creek, many authors have written about it. Wonderful dry fly and nymphing for rainbows. A real Patagonia scenery. Distance from Esquel 60 minutes.


Laguna Larga
, one of the best kept secrets, brown trout on this small lake are known to be the record fish, not easy, challenging fishing, this is one of the spots where the knowledge of your guide can make the difference. Distance from Esquel 50 minutes.
